Everything happens for a reason.....or does it?

I have a friend who always says that everything happens for a reason. But does it really? Or does shit just happen?. Sometimes things have the most absurd reason for happening, sometimes a very logical or magical reason. So in a way i guess things do happen for a reason. Whatever that reason may be......
