My eldest son started High School this year and is attending the same school I went to. (For those of you who know my age -30 , Yes, I had my son when i was very young - I was 17). Master 12 and I had a PLP (personalised learning program) meeting arranged for us to attend which was in the schools library , so it gave me the opportunity to walk through the grounds. Nothing much had changed. It is still very dark, depressing and lifeless. No colour, cold and boring. How can a school so dull, dark and boring produce happy and positive students?. It certainly isn't very inspiring to be surrounded with concrete and dull colours. I honestly believe colour can be therapy. Maybe alot of schools here are in need of extreme makeovers. Could you imagine the standard furnishings for classrooms being from ikea?
