Happiness

10 Things that make me happy (tagged by Bianca)

1. My Family...This includes my partner, children, mum, sister, brothers, my Great Aunty May, extended family members and my grandmother who passed away last year but provided me with so many wonderful memories. Great Photos of my family make me happy too.
I love this photo of my mum back in her day.......

2. Op Shopping...I have bought so many wonderful things from op shops over the years. My first purchase was a brown children's fitted blazer when I was 11 and it only cost me a dollar. The fit and quality of that blazer was divine. My friends at the time didn't understand why I loved rummaging through old clothes. They wore surf brand clothes. But I still loved going there every week with my pocket money and would come home with arms full of stuff. I try to visit at least one op shop every week.
3. Laying on the beach in the summer....OK, I love summer in general....Eating outdoors, afternoon southerly breezes, BBQ's and swimming.

4. Chocolate... I love chocolate. Chocolate anything....milkshakes, thick shakes, cakes, slices, muffins etc. But most of all Hazelnut chocolate makes me so happy....especially after I have eaten a whole block...(maybe its just the sugar rush making me happy).

5. Painting, Drawing and making random things...I go through phases. One week I will do nothing but paint and draw then the next few weeks I will pick up something else creative to do like cross stitch.

6. Music....especially hearing awesome bands for the first time...I listen to a lot of different music. David Bowie, Kings of Leon, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Beatles,Sonic Youth, We are Scientists to name a few favourites. I was introduced to Why? by Cameron and Bianca . They are pretty awesome.

7. Reading...magazines like Frankie and Juxtapoz, random books from the library, blogs and interesting books given to me by my mum. Reading Dr Seuss books to the little ones makes me extremely happy too.

8. Old friends and meeting new ones...I am very lucky to have met some wonderful friends in my lifetime and as time goes on, I keep meeting more and more awesome people.

9. A nice cup of tea...as simple as it sounds, I quite happy when I am sitting down enjoying a cup of piping hot tea...milk, no sugar.

10. Coming across random quotes that ring true...

And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years - Abraham Lincoln

Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone elses opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation - Oscar Wilde

Imagination is more important than knowledge - Albert Einstein
