So the second child starts high school today....

I feel a bit odd this morning. My second eldest child starts high school today. It feels like yesterday when he was born. When I have told people recently that he was starting high school this year, they usually replied that their eldest child was starting kindergarten. I had my son at 19 years of age and a lot of friends I knew at that time were at TAFE/uni or in full time employment. So the eldest is in Year 9, then the second boy is starting year 7 and my little man is starting kindergarten on Monday....that leaves me with little miss Lola at home. With each child there are assorted things to worry about. I'm slowly learning to cope better with teenagers. I guess its something you learn as time goes on. My main concern is each one of them grows up to be happy and I guess self sufficient too. I think independence is a great thing to teach your children. Just hard to know how much freedom to give along with that. Sometimes I wish every child was delivered with a manual with a troubleshooting guide in the back and a hot line to ring if all else fails.
